Jeep Wrangler: STOP/START SYSTEM — MANUAL TRANSMISSION (IF EQUIPPED) / System Malfunction
If there is a malfunction in the Stop/Start
system, the system will not shut down the
engine. A “SERVICE STOP/START SYSTEM”
message will appear in the instrument cluster
display.
If the “SERVICE STOP/START SYSTEM”
message appears in the instrument cluster
display, have the system checked by an
authorized dealer.
If a malfunction occurs during an autostop, the
vehicle may not auto start and will need a key
start.
Your vehicle may be equipped with the Cruise
Control system, or the Adaptive Cruise Control
(ACC) system:

preset speed...

Tires
Examine tires for excessive tread wear and
uneven wear patterns. Check for stones, nails,
glass, or other objects lodged in the tread or
sidewall. Inspect the tread for cuts and cracks.
Inspect sidewalls for cuts, cracks, and bulges.
Check the lug nut/bolt torque for tightness...
The rear axle may be locked in 4WD High if the
proper conditions are met.
