Jeep Wrangler: KEYS / Programming And Requesting Additional Key Fobs
- Programming the key fob may be
performed by an authorized dealer.
NOTE:
- Once a key fob is programmed to a vehicle, it
cannot be repurposed and reprogrammed to
another vehicle.
- Only key fobs that are programmed to the
vehicle electronics can be used to start and
operate the vehicle.
WARNING!
- Always remove the key fobs from the
vehicle and lock all doors when leaving the
vehicle unattended.
- Always remember to place the ignition in
the OFF position.
- Duplication of key fobs may be performed at
an authorized dealer. This procedure
consists of programming a blank key fob to
the vehicle electronics.
NOTE:
- When having the Sentry Key Immobilizer
system serviced, bring all vehicle keys with
you to an authorized dealer.
- Keys must be ordered to the correct key cut
to match the vehicle locks.
The recommended replacement battery is
CR2450.
NOTE:
Customers are recommended to use a
battery obtained from Mopar®. Aftermarket
coin battery dimensions may not meet the
original OEM coin battery dimensions...
The Sentry Key Immobilizer system
prevents unauthorized vehicle operation
by disabling the engine. The system does
not need to be armed or activated...

If the selected seating position has a
Switchable Automatic Locking Retractor (ALR)
seat belt, stow the seat belt, following the
instructions below. Check
what type of seat belt each seating position has.
Loosen the adjusters on the lower straps
and on the tether strap of the child seat so
that you can more easily attach the hooks
or connectors to the vehicle anchorages...
Categories
To erase the channels, follow this procedure:
Place the ignition switch into the ON/RUN
position.
Push and hold the two outside HomeLink®
buttons (I and III) for up to 20 seconds, or
until the HomeLink® indicator light flashes.
NOTE:
Erasing all channels should only be performed
when programming HomeLink® for the first
time. Do not erase channels when programming
additional buttons.
